How does a GSR session work?
GSR session is working with your own internal states.
The technique helps to understand what is behind our reactions, feelings and thoughts, and to identify the root cause of these experiences. GSR is based on the understanding that internal states shape our perception of the world and behavior. By working with them, we change our reactions and interaction with the world around us.
Each session is unique and aimed at revealing and working through precisely those internal blocks and limitations that a person has and that can influence his life path.
To learn how to perform GSR sessions for yourself, you need to complete Module 1 of GSR (Working with yourself).
What happens in a session:
01\ Selecting a topic
The topic of the session can be any feeling, desire, goal. Something that has been bothering you for a long time.
You choose a situation or condition you want to work with. It can be any topic that causes tension:
You choose a situation or condition you want to work with. It can be any topic that causes tension:
Sometimes it sounds like a simple phrase:
- "I feel bad about..."
- "I have a feeling..."
- "I don't understand why this is..."
- "It bothers me that..."
02\ Working with a symptom
To begin working, you immerse yourself in your inner experiences, opening up to your state as much as possible, and using the technique of Module 1, you set up a Symptom.
Further work is built directly with the Symptom. It contains a number of scenarios (tendencies) that together form the general state of a person and his perception of the situation.
During the session, you work through each tendency step by step, moving from the most conscious to the deeper layers.
And when all tendencies are removed, the Symptom ceases to influence.
It becomes easier and calmer inside. You begin to adequately perceive the initial situation and act more constructively.
03\ It becomes easier and calmer inside. You begin to adequately perceive the initial situation and act more constructively.
After the session, the initial feeling goes away. The person returns to a smooth, harmonious state. The situation no longer causes tension or discomfort.
This does not mean that the problem has “disappeared,” but a new perception appears within, from which one can look at the situation differently and interact with it.
You have a new support and resource. Your internal balance is restored.
"How do the participants describe it?"
or "How does it feel?"
“I stopped taking on everything myself and focused on what was important.”
“It was as if everything inside fell into place.”
“I gained a lot of strength when I stopped fighting all the time.”
"I have achieved goals that I could not reach for a long time"
“In the mornings I began to wake up more energetic, full of vitality”
“I learned to feel, hear and understand myself”
What is important to know:
- At the session, no one gives advice or says “how to do it right.”
- GSR session can't do any harm.
- There is no need to return to traumatic events - the session works with feelings without experiencing and immersing yourself in states.
- The technique is gentle but deep: each session works with the cause of the problem.
Session result
This is not a “right answer,” but a return to a balanced, harmonious, resourceful state.
WHAT HAPPENS IN THE SESSION:
01\ The GSR session begins with a conversation with a specialist about your request. The specialist’s task in such a conversation is to determine what internal state or feeling is preventing you from achieving the desired result in your life.
02\ A specialist in a certain technology identifies a feeling as it is in you, without imposing his own ideas on it. This feeling is a “Symptom” that will be worked with in a GSR session.
03\ Then the specialist conducts a session, identifies generic scenarios in the Symptom and works through each of them, restoring the original resource of the generic system. There can be from 7 to 30 such scenarios on average. The specialist voices each of the scenarios to the client - these are the strategies and patterns of behavior, attitudes towards others, and his usual decision-making patterns that are familiar to him. As a rule, this sounds very recognizable to clients.
04\ With the help of the GSR method, each of these scenarios is transformed and provides the opportunity for a new constructive, adequate and healthy attitude and behavior. As a result, the condition that bothered the person completely disappears.
